Rating legend
In my reviews I use the following ratings:
Ease of use
- easy: The plugin can be installed, configured or used by unexperienced users. No manual file editing is required and all options are self-explaining or well documented.
- medium: The plugin can be installed, configured or used by users with little experience. Only a few manual steps are required and you don’t have to memorize many tags to use the plugin.
- hard: Only advanced or very experienced users can install, configure or use this plugin. Manual file editing is required, and you have to memorize many things to be able to use the plugin.
- very hard: Programming skills are required to use, install or configure this plugin. Many files have to be edited, and you might have to screw around with your template files to use the plugin.
Overall rating
- unusable (0 out of 5): Usually, I won’t review those plugins, as I strongly recommend not to use this plugin.
- poor (1 out of 5): I also won’t review such a plugin, but it still might be useful to a handful of users.
- needs improvement (2 out of 5): The plugin follows an interesting idea, but is currently not overly useful to a majority of users.
- good (3 out of 5): The plugin fulfils all tasks that are required from it, but it still lacks the little bit to make it an outstanding plugin.
- excellent (4 out of 5): The plugin fulfils all the tasks that are expected from it and has some nice features that makes it a special plugin.
- must-have (5 out of 5): This is a plugin every wordpress user should have installed on their system.
