This plugin is one of my favorites, but unfortunately it is not styled well to be compatible with many of my favorite theme plugins like "Leopard Admin" being one of them.

I understand what you were trying to do with the interface. But is there anyway to make this more compatible with other admin themes?

Regardless of this little finicky thing, good job on a great plugin!!

thanks,
jimisaacs

Same request from above post. My wordpress is installed in a separate folder, and when I uninstall, I have to add that manually in the address bar.

Also, I am frustrated with the permissions lock that seems to have shut down chmod access to certain files. Please revise and allow manual chmoding within the plugins directory!

Great plugin, congrats! But I think there is a bug. On line 284 in plugins.php, you send the user (with JS) to "/wp-admin/plugins.php", when he tries to uninstall a plugin. This will simply lead to 404 if the blog is not installed in the root directory. Your code should obey the WP configuration.

Work with installations in subdirectories.
Work with the built in version checker.
not have to refresh plugin list for it to recognize just installed plugins.

Great plugin... my suggestions:

1. Allow us to install themes as well.
2. On WP2.3.1 there seems to be a new bug introduced where you install a plugin and it shows in the broken plugin area until you refresh the page and then it seems to be fine.
3. Figure out a solution to the permissions problem. I realize that the plugin (webserver) owns the directories and files but the reality of managing my blog is that I upload some things by hand, delete plugins by hand, etc... and with this permissions problem this becomes very problematic.
4. Include the version numbers in your table.

I love this plugin!

Here are a few suggestions.

1. When URL Install process, plugin should refresh the page so that the newly installed plugin shows up in the Inactive Plugins list.

2. Fix the Uninstall Bug --> Whenever a Plugin Author does not use a plugin subdirectory (wp-content/plugins/{plugin subdir}) and you use the uninstall process you get the following error:

"A problem has occured
PlugInstaller cannot uninstall this plugin, as it has not been installed into a subdirectory!"

Pluginstaller should be able to find the plugin & remove it whether it is in a subdirectory or just in the plugins folder.

The default plugin page lists the version number of each plugin. Activating Plugin Installer hides this information. It would be nice if the version information was displayed when Plugin Installer is activated.

It seems like there was no valid plugin file detected or included in the package you installed. So PlugInstaller tried to move the root directory (by copying all files to the plugins directory and then attempting to delete the original path, which of course failed).

This issue will be fixed in the next release which is due around 20th of August.
